An emergency light is a battery-backed lighting device that switches on automatically when a building experiences a power outage. Emergency lights are standard in new commercial and high occupancy residential buildings, such as college dormitories.

Annual Inspection & Testing of Emergency/Exit Lighting

Our technician will inspect and test each unit to verify that the battery is being properly charged, we will then discharge the unit, exercising the battery to determine that it will operate for the code required 90-minutes. If the unit is functional, a tag will be affixed indicating the date the unit has been serviced. We will maintain an Emergency Light Inventory List, we will number each unit and maintain the Emergency Light Inspection Report for our records
